Talbot AM90 Deluxe Four-door Fabric Tourer Chassis 29967, Registered GN7336
Chassis 29967 was erected in the Talbot factory in London in early December 1930, the third such model in the AM90 Tourer production run. Nothing is known for certain of its early history, but it is possible that it was raced at Brooklands in 1931 and 1932. The car was broken up at some time thereafter, date not known. Ian Polson recovered the chassis in the early 1990s, and the engine and gearbox emerged amongst a load of good Talbot spares in 2001. The car was restored to its original specification, using the earliest model of this car, Howard Day’s identical and very original car, registration number VE4558, chassis number 29960, as the pattern.
The car was re-registered in June 2014, and successfully took part in the Talbot Owners’ Club tour to Le Mans Classic in July. This delightful Touring Car further proved its worth in a 2,600 mile tour in the French Alps in 2015.
