  • Scale trap for cooling system

Hi Martin L, it just realised with your new Talbot 14 weather you had run it yet if you have then it's too late. But I have a Dodd sewer that you can have or borrow. I made this years ago to fit between the top hose to collect crap that always comes up with an engine that has not been run for a while . You keep it on for a few months, then usually the big stuff stops coming up, and you can then remove it.
What I found happend was we have a new radiator on the car that blocked up immediately you start the car. All the large scale comes up at first, then stops after a while. I will do a rough drawing of the thing I'm talking about. Let me know if you need it and I'll bang it off to you. Doddy.

    Hi Guy,

i would be interested in a Doddsworth sewer for my 95. It is almost ready for it's first start up since rebuilding the engine. I am not in any particular hurry to do it until I can take it up the road for some test driving, so I might as well make a sewer if you can put a picture up here. I know people have used a propriety central heating particle trap, but they cost good money for only short term usage. The one I know on a 105 is still in use and will eventually come free, but not soon enough for my usage.

    Cheers, James.
