  • oil filter conversion

After I bought the Schumacher conversion kit for the external oil filter last year, further steps to install it are now being planned (my winter job).
Unfortunately, I had to discover that the hose connections supplied cannot be used due to the limited space in the engine compartment of my BD75.
As you can see at the 3rd picture, the only possible position for the oil filter adaptor is with the connections in 12 o'clock-position.
My plan is now to install the oil filter on the opposite side of the engine, roughly where the radiator expansion tank is currently located.
To do this, however, I have to run the oil lines between the engine and the radiator, but there is little space there due to the fan belt., and additional piping of the cooling bypass.
That's why I'm leaning towards using steel or copper pipes instead of the much thicker rubber oil hoses.

For the correct dimensioning, I would be interested in the oil pump's delivery capacity.
Are there any figures about flow rates available somewhere?
Are oil lines with an inner diameter of 10mm sufficient here (pipe dimension 12 x 1 mm)?
The total length of the lines from the engine connection to the filter and back will certainly be a maximum of approx. 1m.

Many thanks for your help in advance.
    Hans
