I had recharged my very heavy battery and was in too much of a rush and in a cramped garage space put the battery in the wrong way round. The battery leads touched which resulted in a pop and smoke white smoke, not connected with a papal election, but from under the dash. Checked the fuses in the engine compartment which seem OK. Clearly something under the dash was damaged.
Can you give me advice on:
- What part I have cooked
- Where can I obtain a replacement
- How can I refit the replacement
